M O T day.

We both got up at 6.30 and had our breakfast. We then had a coffee. I made the bed, did the ironing and vacuumed upstairs. We left home at 9 am to go to the V W garage for our M O T. We were booked in for 10 o’clock and last year it took us 17 minutes to get there but we have so many road closures in our area that we thought it might take a bit longer! Well we were right, we finally arrived at 9.50. We walked into the City and bought a few bits and pieces before H’s eye test at 11am. I had bought my tv magazine on the way there and I had time to read the whole thing and do the 2 crosswords. By the time he was done it was lunch time so we went to Giraffe 🦒 and had a nice meal. We both had slow cooked ribs, skin on chips and coleslaw with a glass of wine. After that we had a wander round Chapelfield Mall then back to the car. We walked 3.9 miles. On the way home we went to the chicken farm for eggs. As soon as we came in we had a nice cup of tea. At dinner time we were both feeling full so we just had a banana. H was told he has cataracts coming on both eyes, but they won’t need anything done for years. Tomorrow I have to work 😫. My sister in law just rang to say Philip is not very well and the Doctor is going to the home tomorrow to examine him. She will be there to hear what he has to say because Phil can’t remember.
